About Forge & Crown

Who We Are

Forge & Crown is a boutique watch brand and micro-atelier focused on artisan timepieces, bespoke commissions, and limited-production branded models. We create watches with an emphasis on proportion, character, wearability, and long-term ownership, using selected Japanese, Chinese, and Swiss movements.

Our approach is rooted in the idea that a watch should feel more personal than a standard retail product. Some clients want a ready-to-order design. Others want a one-of-one commissioned watch. Others are drawn to limited-production Forge & Crown models with a design identity. Forge & Crown was built to serve all three paths with care, clarity, and a stronger connection between the watch and the person wearing it.

What Forge & Crown Is

Forge & Crown creates artisan wristwatches in field, diver, dress, GMT and chronograph styles. Our offerings are organized into three distinct paths. The Artisan Collection features ready-to-order designs. The Custom-Forged Timepiece is our bespoke watch commissioning service for clients who want a more personal build. F&C Private Label represents limited-production models that carry the Forge & Crown logo and are released as small-run branded watches with a more fixed design identity.

Our Build Philosophy

We build with selected Japanese, Chinese, and Swiss movements chosen for reliability, serviceability, and character. Cases, crystals, crowns, coatings, bracelets and straps are chosen to support durability, wearability and visual balance. Our goal is not simply to assemble components, but to create watches that feel coherent, refined and satisfying to own over time.

A More Personal Path to Ownership

Forge & Crown exists for people who want more from a watch than a catalog purchase alone. Some are looking for a ready design with artisan character. Some want to commission a watch around their own preferences. Some want the exclusivity of an F&C Private Label release. In each case, the aim is the same: to offer a watch with clearer identity and a more personal ownership experience.

How We Work

Our process begins with attention to the design itself. Whether a watch is part of the Artisan Collection, a Custom-Forged Timepiece, or an F&C Private Label release, we focus on making choices that support the final watch as a whole. That includes movement selection, case and dial pairing, finishing direction, bracelet or strap fit, and the overall character of the piece. We believe a watch should feel resolved, not improvised.

Built With Care. Supported After Delivery

A watch should be more than a transaction. Forge & Crown believes ownership should continue after delivery, with support for service, repair and long-term care when needed. Our goal is not only to build watches people enjoy wearing, but to build lasting trust in the experience of owning them.

Why Forge & Crown

Clients choose Forge & Crown for artisan watch design, bespoke commissioning, limited-production branded models and a more personal approach to ownership. Across every collection, the focus remains the same: thoughtful design, selected movements, wearable proportions, and watches built with intention.

The Person Behind the Brand

Forge & Crown was founded by David Lamb — a watch enthusiast, designer, and builder who started the brand out of a belief that the path between a person and their ideal watch should be shorter, more personal, and more intentional.

David oversees every aspect of the Forge & Crown process — from movement selection and case pairing to finishing direction and client communication. His background spans design, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for mechanical horology. Every watch that leaves Forge & Crown reflects his direct involvement and his commitment to watches that feel resolved, not assembled.

Forge & Crown is not a catalog. It is a craft practice — and David built it to stay that way.
